Portland, Oregon (February 26, 2010): Just a little over five months from being nothing more than a brainstorm, Matradee.com has been chosen as one of six finalists for the Oregon Enterprise Network (OEN) Angel Oregon competition at The Nines Hotel on Friday, March 5, 2010.

“This is a great opportunity for us to present to the biggest and brightest investors in Portland,” said Tyler Byrd, President/CEO of Matradee.com. “Whether we win or lose the competition, this is our chance to wow some big names in the community and possibly get funding to take matradee.com to the next level.”

The competition, which culminates with Friday’s gala event and award presentation, will ramp up this week with Presenter Coaching, a final Q&A session mid week, an investor reception and tabletop display, lunchtime jam session and more. Every step of the competition is designed to not only help the OEN decide on their winner, but also get budding new ideas in front of influential decision makers.

Matradee has spent the last several weeks partnering with national companies to provide a little extra benefit for users of our system. Now users can buy Fandango Movie Tickets, Ticket Master concert & event tickets, schedule limousines or have flowers delivered to the restaurant in advance of their dinner. These companies were targeted based on their reputation, national exposure, and synergy. Next time you make a reservation consider picking up a couple of movie tickets too.

Per the request of our restaurants we have expanded upon our delays. Restaurants now have an opportunity to choose delays between real-time (no delay), 2 hours, and 12 hours.

How does a reservation delay work? Easy, Matradee’s solution will establish a window in which diners are unable to book. This window prevents diners from attempting to book a reservation while standing outside the restaurant or at the same time the restaurant has a walk-in requesting that exact same table.

We spiffed up the Social Media today, adding several additional way for users to share their restaurant reservations with friends. We expect to add several more here in coming days, but this is what we have to date:

Facebook is a social utility that connects people with friends and others who work, study and live around them. Facebook has over 400 million users where users share over 3.5 billion pieces of content each week.

Twitter is without a doubt the best way to share and discover what is happening right now. Twitter’s 7 million users, whose largest user demographic is between 35 & 49, are sharing information at the average rate of 27.3 million tweets per day.

Digg allows users to share the best news, videos and pictures on the web.

Delicious allows users to keep, share, and discover the best of the Web using , the world’s leading social bookmarking service.

StumbleUpon is an Internet community that allows its users to discover and rate Web pages, photos, and videos. It is a personalized recommendation engine which uses peer and social-networking principles.

These additions will help our users share your restaurant with the friends across the web.
